hair wrap

Here I am, back after a little bit of a blogging/computer break. It's easy for me to get caught up in all the internet has to offer, that I neglect "real life". So I thought it was time to take a step back and give the computer a rest for a little while.

Although it was hard sometimes not to sit down and just vegetate, staring at the screen, it gave me a good opportunity to work on some sewing projects, and pick up this book which I've been meaning to read for awhile.

So, all in all, it was a beneficial break, and gave me a chance to evaluate how much time I spend online, and to hopefully limit myself.

I was over at Pinterest the other day browsing around, and came across a twisted head wrap tutorial  that someone had pinned, and I knew I had to make it.

I love the cute stripey fabric she used, but wanted something to go with my Lands End Sailor T, so opted for a plain red fabric.

The wrap came out too small, so I wouldn't have been able to close it using the snaps at the ends like she suggested, so I ended up  sewing a ribbon on either side as a closure instead. I like the look of it, but next time would like to use the snaps.

"Measure twice, cut once" is such good advice, isn't it? :)

Happy beginning of Summer!!!
