morning light

In my attempts to get up earlier, I gave myself the incentive this morning of taking the boat out at dawn to snap a few photos of the sun just beginning to peep up over the treetops.

I quietly dropped my oars in a rhythmic motion into the calm water, making my way through the morning mist, out into the middle of the lake. I practiced rowing as softly as I could, trying my best not to disturb the our neighbor's dogs that, as sure as shootin', would bark if they heard me.

All was quiet the whole trip so I think I'm learning :)

You live such a peaceful life; a treasure lost among many people today. I hope you treasure it :) Beautiful picture.

@ Heather

Thanks for your comment, Heather. Yes, I do treasure the peacefulness of my life... it's certainly not always like that :) but God has bountifully blessed me with loving family, good friends, and His beautiful creation around me to enjoy!
