I've got a nice, big, juicy post for you as a compensation for the silence on my part for the past few days:). It seems like this past week had so much going on, and there are so many pictures that I have to share with you, that it's hard to know where to start!
My sweet friend, Kim, (Hi Kim!) came over last Wednesday, and we spent the day just hanging out together and enjoying each others company. We had good intentions of working on each of our crochet projects, her's a pair of socks, and mine a Victorian era collar, but *ahem* we didn't get as far as we liked to. It's kinda hard to talk and count stitches at the same time, we found out. Kim was able to give me a hand, though, as I just could not find a crocheted collar pattern (well, I found one, but both us couldn't make heads or tails out of it), but she showed me how to freehand a pattern, instead. I'm really excited that it came out half-way decent, though don't ask me to recreate it again, because I don't think I could! :)
Kim had the brilliant idea of dressing up in some of my Civil War dresses and doing an old-fashioned photo shoot outside. She and another friend of hers had done something similar before, so we thought we give it a try, too. It was too much fun, like, I don't think it's decent to have that much fun! I'll always look back on those photos with good memories.
Thank you for your friendship, Kim!

Another Civil War camp dress in the works. I'm in love with the fabric!

On Saturday, the girls tea that I mentioned in the last post, took place. It was exciting to be a part of helping out with it, and I think the girls that came were blessed.
Setting up the tables.
I wish I taken more pictures, but sometimes it's hard to be a photographer and take part in a gathering! :)
