In the loft. You can see little Maple, one of the baby kids, on Nancy's bed. She wasn't quite sure what to think about our little nook up there when we brought her up, but she was so cute when she finally figured out that it was ok to jump from one bed to the next. :)

I love spending time at my friend's family farm.
There's always something interesting going on and I love giving a hand where I can, whether canning salsa, picking beans, milking goats, shucking corn, sewing together, gathering eggs, or baking scones. In an funny way it's almost relaxing. Even though we're working, there's a sense of calm satisfaction and enjoyment that accompanies it.
Last Tuesday we cleaned up the loft above the shed and converted it into a small bedroom. We have a few more things we'd like to do to fix it up and make it more homey, but even now, it's great. I think it's become one of our favorite places to spend time, chatting and day-dreaming, and, when the works all done for the evening, the hay bale beds we made are the perfect place to rest our heads.

Beautiful pictures Sarah! I love how Nancy's wearing her dress to work in!
Thanks, Lillian! Yes, I love what Nancy is wearing too! She's so inspiring :)
This is the life.
Btw, I love the fogged lens in the first picture. It makes it look very similar to an oil painting.
Thanks, John. We had alot of fun that day :)
Nancy showed us her loft home this afternoon. I love it!
