moving in

It's been a little while since I updated on here, so I figured I'd take a minute to brink you folks up to date on a little bit of what has been happening of late.

The biggest news is that we are in our new house! That really deserves a few more exclamation marks than just one, because God has just really worked through the whole process when we thought that it would not all work out.

Not to go into too many details, as it's a bit of a long story :), we were thinking for bit that we would have to find another place as we had a few issues with the realtor, and also with what we thought was black mold in the house (thankfully it was not). All in all, the Lord has been so abundantly good to us in just working out all the little details, and helping us to find, and finally move into, this house.

Even though all our things haven't been delivered yet (that should be at the end of September), it is nice to feel that we are slowly moving towards being settled in here a little bit more. There is always that initial phase when you move of "putting down roots" –– learning your way around, meeting new people, even finding good places to get your local groceries at. It can be challenging at times, and there are certainly those moments when I feel pretty out of place here, but I have to say it has been, and will continue to be an adventure living here. :)

We will be without internet for around 1-2 weeks till the company can get around to setting up the service, so my presence online will be minimal during that time :).  I hope to post a few more updates on life here once we have that set up, though!
